MacBook - my new baby MAC.

Alright kids, this is killing me so i had to Blog about it. My PowerBook G4 12 incher only maybe 2 years old if even that much has become old to me. And with my very tech driven profession i thought it would be best to get a new laptop. And with the new OS coming out, i thought it would be definatly time to upgrade but here is the issue. I have a tech itch. As soon as i want it, i want it within 24 hours. I have no patience in waiting for the new OS to come out. Given it is being released in October, and its September 27th...the actual release date hasn't been given. So i could be waiting a long month, if APPLE decides to release the OS at the end of October. Boo Hoo. My soon new lappy.

I finally talked myself out of the iphone and ipod Touch due to cell phone carriers, and new tech items always have too many bugs. So its worth to wait till release of version 2.

But once i convinced myself out of those 2 items, i talked myself into a new computer. and now...i have to play the waiting game.

And another thing i talked myself into finally getting is a new keyboard for my older G4 desktop from college. Those keyboards blow sooooo much. So i am going to get a cute mini keyboard: FANCY

O and of course, i'll have to buy myself a new laptop bag. Probably something like this one: Fancy 2

I am sitting here, having a last status meeting before my small little vacation. My mission until next tuesday is to be back in college. In other words, no worries, no deadlines, no work, no nothing. I tried to plan out my vacation but it didn't go very well...my other half wasn't so helpful. So, my new plan is just montuak, city, movies, mall, long beach, bar, jones beach and bed.

oooooo and css, masters planning will happen as well.

I have this overwhelming feeling recently of well...being overwhelmed.I don't know even if I am happy or sad or just frustrated.

From a moment by moment basis, I have different feelings. I don't even know which feeling is the real feeling and which feeling is the changing feeling?

I am frustrated that the people around me, don't see how hard I have worked and how hard I continue to work. My job is actually really stressful, and ive been there over year and a half...and i've been stressed. Being successful at this job means alot to me, so i do push myself. At the age of 22, its a hard thing to do. Since a good amount of my peers aren't struggling in a career.It is a good thing, but some people don't see that what I am doing is a big accomplishment.

Someone had the balls to compare me to a rich, spoiled chick from a stupid reality show. I've worked my ass off since i was 16, had at least one job or even 2.graduated from post with a 3.4, on time and got a job 4 days after graduation. Never had a break, never had time to freaking unpack. Bought a damn brand new car on my own, pay for everything but rent.

I'm not spanish enough, won't be a good house wife (even tho that is not even in my mind to be one), ......things are just piling up on me and really starting to get to me.

My goal is to get my MBA, at the age of 23 start it..probably finish when im 25. Maybe then i'll prove people wrong? and they can be proud?

My whole life, I've done for my parents.."because its the right thing to do"....

I am growing tired of everything.

Ok, so im testing out my new brower which is suppose to be cool. Im still testing the water tho.

I did notice one thing that they didn't do correctly. When setting up ur flock brower it goes thru this really kinda annoying process of saving old setting from your last brower (mine was firefox). But when it finally went thru it only saved half of my bookmarks which is the most important thing to me.

But we will see how it goes down. I must say tho I do like the flickr thing they got goin.

I'll let you know how fancy this blog this is.

So, not that i think i have a huge audience for this blog, BUT! this is for my female viewers. And those males who will prolly find it more funny then educational. So at work, I entered the word "bitch" into the google search engine and hit the "feeling luckey" box. And what site comes up but a website for a magazine. "Bitch - Feminist response to Pop Culture". I have to admit I looke further into the site, because well...if you knew me you'd know why. So, here is the link : Bitch.

And below is the reason why they call themselves "Bitch". I couldn't have said it better.

Ok, at my job my co-worker jonathan has a fighter fish named um .. winter? Anyways... Juwen and I like feeding it everyday even tho its not our fish. The fish gets all excited and crazy whenever juwen and I come near the tank. During our down time we have a tendency to look and chill with the fish. I jokingly stuck my finger by the water one day and the fish jumped up and bit my finger. I of course jumped like a little bitch. So anyhoot, the fish has come acustome to my finger and that I feed it. So now i have trained it to jump :) I am so cool and the fish loves me :)

Update on Kay!

Ok, so if you saw earlier on Jan.3, 2006 I told you the story about my experience with Kay Jewelers. Well, if you read in the story it said that my ring will be ready on Friday. Which is today!

So I decided to call during work and Jason informed me that once again I was misinformed and my ring is once again not in the store. It gets better, he called the repair shop where my ring was getting sized. He tells me that they are having trouble with the ring and are delayed. Why you ask? Well, the ring I tried on at the store is a size 7 and the ring size that I need is a 3 and a half. SO, he informs me that this is a very had task to do and it may make the gem pop right out.

He comes to me and suggests two things that I can do.
1. Have them size it to a size 5 and they would put these balls or something in it so it can fit my finger.

2. I can have a brand new ring made from scratch but, it will take like a month to do.

So, after talking with the guy for a little bit, I decided to just go ahead and get the ring made from scratch!

Now my issue is :
1.They should have known sizing from a 7 to a 3.5 is an issue.

2. They should have informed me it would take longer.

3. Besides Jason they are all assholes. He even said if I feel like coming down to complain, he would be fine with that.

So, in about a month I should be rocking a new right hand ring and they will be covering all the charges to make a new ring.

well,im absolutly exhausted. The lack of constant sleep is getting to me. I have a couple of hours of sleep a night. and the rest is just broken apart naps with all freaky dreams with in those naps.Id never take sleeping pills but anything is looking good to getting a good night sleep. i do mean anything.

I just got done watching "eternal sunshine of the spotless mind" and if i do wake up with all and any issues i have misterisly solved...i won't lie...i wouldn't mind. and he seemed to hhave some good sleeping the night he got his memory erased. you think you'd be one of those people who could erase someone else? I would..but id like to keep the knowledge that you get from that person..if that makes sense?

its only 9pm and i am looking foward to passing out..i was planning on doing my "billy blanks" tapes but fuck it..if i wake up even more cranker than i did today, someone will get shot.

Screw You Kay Jewelers

OK! so on December 18th, 2005 Jay and I went and finally decided on a right hand ring to get me. We ordered it and sent it away to get sized. They offered to let me hold on to it and they would put a ring sizer thing on it, but I opted to just have it sent away. And I quote from the receipt slip.."Promise date 1/3/06". This is the date that the ring would be in store and ready for me to pick up.

So jay and I go and pick up the ring yesterday, the 3rd. Or at least we thought we were going to go pick it up, but instead they said fed ex got held back because of the holiday and it would be in today(1/4). Well, I decided to give a call about 10 mins ago to see if it is in the store. WELL! Surprise surprise, now they are saying that the actual place that resizes it is "behind". But then I say.."But you've had it for over two weeks now and I was "promised" it yesterday. AND I QUOTE from the snoody sales guy.. "Well, your not the only one who had there stuff sent out, its the holiday season". OK DICK! So SCREW YOU Kay... Its not like this holiday season just snuck up on us, we all knew about it and they should have factored that into the "promise" date.

ok. Jay has gotten me two pieces from Kays and now we will strictly be small jewelers or zales.

Tools of the Trade

To some these sharp metal tools look like torture devices or even dentist tools.(Either way it still hurts ALOT, I only speak from dentist tools experience) Anyways, you are all wrong, they are tools used for clay sculpting.

Clay was my first interest into the arts, besides coloring books as a kid. I started out with pottery, then modeling. I actually stopped because as a little girl I got a really bad cut one time from a metal scraper I had. Then in college I picked up clay again and did some really cool mini-sculptures. Today someone brought in a Pixar book from the MOMA museum. They had some of their sculpting of characters in the book, and damn did it look great.

So, my decision is to go ahead and pick up the old 25lb clay and tools again:)
Given it will take me forever to do , but I am willing to reteach myself. If it actually comes thru, I will be sure to post some pics up of my work.

This Holiday was awesome!

This holiday season has been one of the best holidays I have had in such a long time. Everything seemed to have fallen into place. Even tho my family has gotten smaller and are now scattered thru the US, it was still really nice. I will forever miss my large Italian holiday meals, but I will forever love the Christmas spirit the holidays still bring.

But my birthday went really well, suprisingly. My closest friends showed up and even my friend from work, which was nice. It wasn't some crazy night but it was this awesome holiday get together for my birthday :) I loved it.

I kinda spoiled everyone that got any gifts from me, just because its the first holiday that I've ever had real money to my name. It did set me back in my savings but it was really well worth it. I loved everyone's faces when they saw my gifts.

O and even tho my man is DEF not as much into all the holiday get up as me, it was awsome. We went to this restraurnt with his family and then just went and chilled with his family. It wasn't some crazy outlandish night but it was a great night with family. I did miss mine but I did enjoy spending time with his.

I just felt all warm and fuzzy today for Some reason so I decided to share my thoughts with anyone that reads this.

Yep! Happy birthday to me. I always get really excited about O a month prior to the 23rd. Then around the 22nd or even a week before it all goes bad. Friends bail on my becuase of lack of money cause of the holiday season. Or they say they have family stuff to do, understandable considering it is Christmas! Then of course my family is cursed with the 3 deaths at a time by christmas rule. So far we had two with in a week, so sad to say we got one left. This does happen every other year for us, and it breaks my heart and downs the spirit every year.

These are all things i can't stop or even try to stop. They are all understandable, everyone has reasons.

I just hate being let down, and I usually am around this time. I am starting to think I just bring it upon myself. But who knows!

According to baseball sources, Damon agreed last night to a four-year deal worth $52 million, or the same deal the Yankees gave Hideki Matsui in November.

Sources say the deal came together in the space of 48 hours, which is fairly remarkable considering Boras' reputation for dragging out negotiations as well as his insistence for weeks that Damon would get a seven-year deal.

In addition, it was thought that the Red Sox would be willing to fight harder to keep Damon, but apparently they never went much, if at all, beyond their original offer of four years for $40 million-$42 million.

But in any case, the Yankees have filled their need for a center fielder with perhaps the best possible option, at least offensively. Damon no doubt will bat leadoff, add speed at the top of the order and give the Yankees perhaps their best lineup of the Joe Torre era.

Talk about a Christmas present for Yankee fans: Damon, Jeter, Sheffield, Matsui, A-Rod, Giambi ...

So, today I was informed that my man .. baseball man that is Johnny Damon is now a Yankee. I have been routing for red sox for a couple of years now , so I am torn. I will with out a doubt go to a yankee game just for a sake of seeing mr.damon but i have no idea who i will be routing for when it comes down to it. Most likely I will just love them both and cheer for them equally. But mr.damon now has to shave and cut his hair, its a sad day in baseball for me. I loved his beard and long hair :(

While I am here I thought I would share something interesting I heard on z100 today. One of the topics they brought up today was the glitter in the air. Some one read something about how much of the air pollution has glitter in it. Also, they said how glitter will always find a way on someones face or in random areas. So, I personally found this interesting because I have a tendency to point out and ask why Glitter is on my mans face. Never alot, just one annoying spec of glitter. Because I am not that type of chic to wear make-up really and let alone the glittery kind... I had to ask.."where did that come from". So, we can all draw the conclusion that I drew when I saw glitter on his face. I was never really serious but I am not alone. A caller on z100 said the same exact thing as me. This conversation this morning gave me a good laugh and I will now never ask why my man has glitter on his face.

I can't even begin to explain how cold my office is. My building is brand spanking new, its the first winter for this building. We got the heat working but we forgot one thing. Drafts.. very cold drafts. My office is directly across from the photo studio which is not heated. We don't have a door yet on this studio, so that equals draft. The upper part of me is fine but the lower part of me is bitter cold. I have my jacket drapped over my legs. Yesterday I even had a baby heater from another worker. It was fabulous that little heater... Oh! how i need one of my own.

If it ever really snows like...Multiple feet, ill stop bitching and I will sit back and enjoy the snow.

Fun! Thursday is our Holiday party. So tomorrow me and who ever else wants to join in will be decorating the office :D Im excited!

I had this whole blog written out, but its not the blog i am posting. As i started to write the blog i realized it was getting to much about religion and my beliefs, and thats not the point I was trying to make so i deleted it. I am still figuring out things for myself but i love chrstmas. I say this not for the gifts but for the giving. Its for the family love and for the festive feeling. I wish i can do more and more for others that have nothing. But the best things i can do is really give to the people who have given to me for so many years. I really do love the holidays I really do love what the church represents to the family home.

So after much debate with myself and others I have decided on the HP iPaq rx1955. My co-worker talked me out of the "smart phone" because as it turns out they aren't so smart. So the other one i started to look at was a palm "lifedrive" for 499$ which was too much money to spend on somethng that isn't a necessity. Snow!

I was debating about getting rid of my truck. I unfortunally do not have a pic of my truck. Once we get more snow I will be sure to take a snowy pic of my nice baby blue truck. So anyways.. I was debating about getting rid of it completly. I was not sure if i wanted to get a car, or truck or a hybrid. but my truck eats too much gas for me to keep. BUT... now that it snowed and now that the weather is getting even more crappy. I can't get rid of my truck, i adore that thing. Snow and jeep equal more and more fun! So winter is my favorite season with the cold, snow, truck, long and lazy days, fun snow days and just the pure holiday season feeling. We are getting at least a half a foot tonight, so every drive saftly but have some Fun!

Verizon and vid/pod cast

Well, if you know me... you know I enjoy the "tech." stuff. So to finish up my collection of tech stuff, I am looking at a Verizon "smart phone".

This is the one I am looking at and I am interested in buying. I am doing tons of reasearch because well, it is the smart thing to do. SO if anyone knows anything about good things or bad things with this palm/smartphone/verizon pda, please do let me know!

Also, on a personal note. Even more personal- diggnation ive grown to love. It really has keeped me occupied at work. I just rewatch shows daily. So my idea is to start my own vidcast. With the co-host boyfriend, we are both tech-savey one newbie and one more advanced. So we can have a wide audience.. we can cover so many different topics we can cover.
....So would you watch a video cast maybe bi-monthly about anything from newbie tech stuff to the latest gadgets and tech stuff for the advanced/intermediate viewer and learner? And if so..what would you more specifically want on the show?

MOUSE PADS!

SO i am taking a second away from my overwhelming job to update this blog. Why you ask? Well as part as my coordinating job , I also take part in the marketing and PR work for the phoneix group. Coming up is the holiday season and so we give out our lovely clients , GIFTS! This year is mouse pads. we decided to go with a mouse pad with a picture frame with in the mouse pad. awsome idea! But now we must decide a thousand plus options for this mouse pad. I had no idea what work it took to decide on a mouse pad. And we haven't even gotten to the art work on it. From thickness to round, square, length, width, soft, hard, smooth, glossy, thickness of grip. Slidey or stiff. Its realyl annoying and everyone has a personal opinion. And its My job to get the price quotes for every little thing. Mouse pad.. who knew?
